Inspired not by endangered species but the glorious hues found in fall, the Autumn Moth collection aims to bring the golden, glowing, and lovely to your home with harm-free paper entomology specimens.
Created from mulberry paper, bookbinder's thread, goache, watercolors, and ink, this Virgin Tiger Moth represents a species belonging to the group that uses tymbal organs on their thoraxes to create ultrasonic sounds for communication, and are called "tigers" for their striking markings.
AUTUMN MOTH III: Virgin Tiger Moth is sold in a custom 4" x 6" shadowbox frame with archival mounting, and shatterproof, glare-reducing, UV-blocking Museum acrylic.
Payment plans available upon request; please reach out via email to beastieandbone@gmail.com if you are interested in this option!
